Love Your Body: It’s a Healthy Way to a Better Life

I can’t think of any girl who would be okay with her body. My thighs/butt/belly are too huge, my hair/skin doesn’t look as good as hers, and the list continues and continues….

You may surf through magazines or your favorite Instagram pages, and look at the pictures of celebrities or models, and then look at yourself and not see anything but the body full of imperfections. Please stop here.

Celebs and popular people put a lot of time and effort into keeping up with that body (and you know it). Going beyond that, those pictures are beautifully retouched, and everything you were not supposed to see is already destroyed with the Photoshop brush. But we all are humans, and they too have imperfections.

During this week, Angelina Jolie posted a face shot without any makeup and retouching, where you could see that she also has breakouts, dark circles under her eyes, and wrinkles:

“Beneath the makeup and behind the smile, I am just a regular person. So many girls look up to me. I want them to know that natural is beautiful. They aren’t fully aware of the fact that behind the looks there are a lot of designers, makeup artists, and photoshop editing. Celebrities whole sense of beauty is flawed. You should be carefree. Love the real you. It doesn’t matter what you look like on the outside, it’s what’s on the inside that counts. At 40, now I’m beginning to accept who I am. I have flaws and that’s okay. I’m proud of all the women who are brave and real and can say that they are enough and beautiful just the way they are! I hope you spread the message and let the world know that you value inner beauty more than the outer appearance.”- wrote on Angelina Jolie Fan Club

And that’s true: you’re beautiful the way you are. Loving your body and yourself can be not easy, but it’s totally worth it. It’s not going to happen overnight, or during a week. You need to accept yourself for who you are. If there is something you can and want to change, set a goal and be realistic with yourself.

Improve your diet, sign up for classes, jog… there are plenty of healthy ways that could help you improve your body and your inner self. Sign up for the class that you didn’t have time to try.

But now…Look in the mirror, smile, and when you look back, be loving and confident. Your confidence will go beyond that mirror, and everyone around will acknowledge it. When you are comfortable with your body, this attracts the opposite sex like a magnet.

Why won’t you switch your mode into positive state of mind and just love yourself the way you are? You may see a decent number of flaws when you look in the mirror, but someone out there thinks you are flawless and perfect.
